Courtney and her husband Jeremy May have two children, Alden and Thompson, as well as a French Bulldog named Biscuit. She and her family are members of St. Andrews by the Sea Methodist Church, where Courtney also volunteers.

Courtney is a 1996 graduate of the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. Whether she is working on a full home renovation, small project, or the latest BESTNEST, Courtney's passion lies in home design. She also specializes in marketing, trend forecasting, home renovation, and contract execution.
